Shady Tax Prep Firm Exposed

A Facebook friend of mine posted this flyer from a tax firm in California. I initially thought she posted it to demonstrate how unashamed some tax preparers in low-income neighborhoods are about taking money from taxpayers who actually pay taxes. Alas, she was actually promoting her employer's wealth redistribution services, or, as her firm calls it, "getting free money". (Article continues after image.)

The firm claims to get Earned Income Tax Credit money for drug dealers. Yes, you just read that:

Are you sufficiently angry? Does it make you angry that "poor" households are getting an average annual total of $60K from the government while millions of educated, hardworking people are struggling to maintain their middle class lifestyles? Does it make you angry that, regardless of which political party is in charge, the government takes from the middle class to give to the rich and the poor? It should.
