VIDEO: Mr. Schiff Returns To Washington (To Fight Another Losing Battle)

While I'm on the subject of Peter Schiff, I have to share this video of his congressional testimony from the other day. Incredibly, after having laid down the smack during his 2011 jobs bill testimony, Congress invited Mr. Schiff to testify about proposed subprime mortgage lending mandates that would require Fannie and Freddie to assume more toxic debt, which would eventually lead to another mortgage meltdown. Schiff was the only person testifying who wasn't a lobbyist for subprime lenders (that's why he was invited), and the subprime pimps did their best to talk over the libertarian investment guru. But fear not, dear readers. He was able to get his point across, albeit to an unreceptive audience of congress critters.

  1. I've lost all hope in this country. Washington' s so far out touch with reality there's no way this country can survive. What is it, like 90% of Democrats are lawyers?? They don't have any business experience! THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND THE BASIC ECONOMIC PRINCIPLE OF SUPPLY AND DEMAND!! They fail to understand (or maybe even care) that PEOPLE BUYING HOUSES THEY CAN'T AFFORD LEAD US TO WHERE WE ARE NOW!! And they have the hubris to try this crap again?!!! Get me a one-way flight to New Zealand..

    1. You'd be better off going to Singapore or the Isle of Man. The former has the world's most liberalized (I want that word back) economy, and the latter has the developed world's fewest laws.
