The Government's hypocrisy regarding drug policy is unbelievable. The fact that Americans have tolerated a century of prohibition and nearly a half-century of the War on Drugs makes me question this country's dedication to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness". But, I suppose that as long as there's an iPad on every lap and a reality show on every TV, the sheeple will literally allow the Government to get away with murder. Happy Memorial Day. I hope that those who gave their lives for this burning empire aren't rolling in their graves.

  1. lighten up, seth. it doesn't look like charleston is going to get much bad weather from the tropical storm and the contagion from the euro collapse won't reach the us for another couple of months. enjoy the summer, and hit the beach as much as you can until the sh*t hits the fan this fall.

    1. Actually, some are predicting that Greece and the Euro will part ways on June 18: http://www.cnbc.com/id/47587509 . The guy quoted in that article said it will be a non-event, but I'm not so sure.

I have been enjoying the early Charleston summer though! :)

  2. Ironic drug policy, no? The USA is the largest consumer of prescription drugs in the galaxy with some kind of medication for every and any known or unknown ailment ever felt or invented. In my opinion it is these gigantic pharmacorps that are keeping certain drugs illegal just until they can synthesize and sell it themselves.

    1. But of course. The War on Drugs is the ultimate in crony capitalist activity. Narcs have no idea they are actually agents of PhRMA and the political elite.
